Farm Visits and Education
We welcome visitors to Little Creek to learn about our farming practices and to see the rare animals with which we share our home.  If you are an aspiring hobby farmer with questions about organic gardening, farming with draft animals, raising sheep, or any one of the other projects planned or underway we are happy to entertain questions and show you how we operate.  If you are looking for a place in the country where you can picnic under a shade tree and show your children or grandchildren farm life outside of a storybook we would love to have you join us for an afternoon.  For reasons of safety we do require that children be adequately chaperoned.  Please phone in advance to assure we will be available when you plan to visit.

Sheep and Tell is our traveling educational program about the Navajo-Churro sheep, their history and importance in the Navajo culture, and the role these animals play on our farm.  Participants will learn about the steps required to transform wool from fleece to cloth, including a hand spinning demonstration and the opportunity to make felt (this can be somewhat messy).  When possible we will bring one of our sheep with us to the program.  Pricing for this program is dependent on the number of participants, distance traveled and materials used for the felting craft.

For more information or to schedule a visit please contact us at 803-943-5358 or littlecreek@wildblue.net.  As we are often outside please do not hesitate to leave a message and we will return your call.
